Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was developed because not every person can use their physical stature or speed to protect themselves. The martial art focuses on taking an opponent to the ground, establishing proper defense position, and isolating a part of the body to overcome the situation. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners traditionally wear a Gi/Kimono (uniform) during training and competition. At PEAK Performance Training Center, we provide instruction in Gi and No Gi grappling, as well as combined mixed martial arts.
Martial artists promote honor and respect as well as practicing self-defense. Training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is about self-control, discipline, showing respect for your training partners, and growing as an individual.
The skills developed with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu increase confidence, awareness of personal surroundings, and encourage better understanding of how to control the human body. The program provides endurance training, physical strength training, and improved mobility and flexibility. In addition, we offer education on adequate nutrition and overall general health and wellness.
Mixed martial arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most important skills an athlete needs to be successful in the sport. PEAK Performance Training Center trains athletes of all skill levels to become the best they can be.
